I had no idea ... i thought it started after Labor Day.It did last year, anyway.
I was going to go get my textbooks today, but Michael realized - last night, in Moreno Valley, at dinner - that his classes started at 8:55 am this morning. So we got up at 6:30 am and drove down to OC. Maybe tomorrow morning I could get my textbooks, after work ... before sleep ...
This means that I'm going to work tomorrow night, go straight to class, be in class all day, and then have to go back to work all Wednesday night. fuck me.
I don't know how I'm going to work this schedule - this is the toughest school/work schedule I've ever put myself through. It would be easier if I was closer to work, or if i could get by with less sleep, or if work was more flexible about what days are available. I know how hard it is to staff night shifts, but i can't burn myself out working crappy shifts.
Everything I ate yesterday (not that I'm eating all that much anymore, a lovely side effect) contained soy sauce, and now i feel like I'm sloshing around ... i should steal some diuretics or something from work for water-retention emergencies such as this.
On the way home from work the other day, i stopped at a garage sale. Books were $0.25 apiece, and i picked up a knitting guide from 1972 that might be interesting. I haven't really had a chance to look it over, though. I did just finish another project, and it will be shipped off to New Hampshire shortly. I love making stuff to give away.
