Even with all the lights and the TV on, and my chihuahua here to protect me ... as soon as i exit my house to get something out of the car or to take a bag of trash to the container at the end of the lot, it's dark and scary again. The moon is playing with the clouds tonight, and shadows dance in the corners.
Lacie wrote a bit about each member of the wedding party for the program. This is what she wrote about me:
"Kasey 'animal lover' Littlefield - Met at Aha Quin in 1981. Most intelligent and down to earth friend."
In the interest of upholding my "most intelligent" status, i have taken the liberty of correcting her grammatical errors. I'm really flattered by this, though. I don't really consider myself intelligent, especially compared to Lacie and her friends - they're all teachers, most with Master's degrees. It's really neat that she thinks of me that way.
I think the "down to earth" part just means that i'm the friend that will tell Lacie to shut up when she's being obnoxious.
There were things that I was going to do here today, but it's not really happening. I'm not feeling well, I think I'm developing a sinus infection. But I got some trash out, did some laundry, unloaded my car. It's a start.
Tomorrow, back to the routine. It's Heather's birthday. I couldn't be at her party because of the wedding. I can't hang out on her birthday because i have work and school. Great best friend i am.
Jeremy came up with a good idea for my own birthday - I may do a small dinner thing with a few friends. A little expense for all, less stress for me than a real party, and i can include those closest to me. I'm just got to do a little research.
And if anyone wants to know what i want for my birthday - beer and prOn and IKEA giftcards. MAC and books are always welcome too. Not that I would demand that my friends buy me anything. ;)
