I went in to my doctor's office first thing this morning (ok, first thing this afternoon) to get the glucometer sensor removed. That was quite a relief ... now I just have an itchy spot where all the tape was. My skin has been super-sensitive lately. I'm down to one awkward medical device attached to my abdomen.
It'll be interesting to find out the results from my glucometer thing. I wasn't in the best control over the last couple days (at least one bad low, and one night of drinking), but maybe i'll see what my sugars are doing while I'm sleeping.
On the way home, I stopped at a little hair place by my house. I've been meaning to get a haircut for a while, but I wanted to go to the girl in Long Beach that I usually see, but time and money have prevented me. So I stop in at this little salon, and got a pretty good haircut from a guy there. My needs are pretty simple as far as hair goes - chin length, blunt edges, straight bangs. The bob is good and the bangs are almost straight, so I'm happy. I'm really happy to get all that length of hair off - it was driving me crazy.
The cut i like, it works for me, but i also think I look like Ramona Quimby for at least the first week or so after a cut. It's okay, I loved Ramona Quimby.
Michael and I are going to Bats tonight, meeting up with Kate there. Kate has threatened to show up in all pink, I'm waiting to see if she actually does. She has no qualms about sticking out like a sore thumb, it's great. We're also going to stop by Andy's to check out his new dog and say hi to him and Kelly. Since I stopped hanging out at TC, I don't see enough of them.
If anyone else is going to Bats, call me and let me know!
