Now, if i recall correctly, my fingers and toes are supposed to feel nicer and look better after a mani/pedi.
Such is not the case.
I've got several little cuts around the edges of my fingernails from overly aggressive and sloppy cuticle manipulation. Feels great every time I have to stick my fingers in a jar of alcohol swabs at work. My toesnails are cut square, with sharp corners I've already had to file down to prevent cuts on the adjacent toes.
We won't even talk about the paint.
I really should pay the money to go to a decent salon to get my claws done, but it's so easy to go to the little places in the shopping centers up here. Sometimes the girls are good, and for $25 you get a great mani/pedi. Sometimes you end up with an impatient, cranky old woman that leaves you with little cuts all over your hands.
I just got an email from Michael - he's got a bit of extra money this month, and wants to take me to a restaurant I've been dying to try for ages. I'll have to drive into OC, but I can probably live with that.
One more night of work, then I'm off for a couple days. Kelly is working for me tomorrow night, and I'm working her Saturday so she can do some soccer thing. This has been arranged for quite a while now, and of course it's on the day Babyland is opening for VNV Nation and there's nothing i can do about it.
